Yaikus Studio

Yaikus Studio

Turn today's news into short videos, with your own AI.

A free, open-source Mac app for creators who are just starting out, and for anyone who wants their AI agent to do the heavy lifting.

macOS 14 or later · Signed and notarized by Apple · MIT license

How it works

  1. 1

    Collect

Add RSS feeds or article links; stories show up in one list.

  2. 2

    Choose

Click the story you want to turn into a video.

  3. 3

    Write

Your AI drafts the script (or your agent submits one). The app validates it against your rules: word count, hook length, banned phrases, no links or hashtags.

  4. 4

    Preview & tweak

Edit the title, hook and script, swap the background, change the format.

  5. 5

    Export

A finished MP4 with voice, animated captions and your background. You decide where to publish it.

Who it's for

New creators

You know what you want to post, but making a video every day is slow. Pick a story, review a script that follows your rules, preview and export. No editing software, no timeline, no subscription.

People who build with agents

Studio ships with a local MCP server, so Claude, OpenClaw, Hermes or your own agent can read the news and your rules, write the script, pick footage and render the video, while you stay in control of what gets published.

Features

Your rules

Editable rules for length, hook and wording.

Two formats

Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; horizontal 16:9 for YouTube.

Your AI

Claude, any OpenAI-compatible API, or an agent through MCP.

Your voice

Free offline Mac voices, OpenAI-compatible APIs or ElevenLabs.

Your backgrounds

Use your own, or free stock footage from Pexels.

Native and private

No Python or ffmpeg to install. No accounts, no telemetry. API keys live in your Keychain.

Editions

Free edition

Open source (MIT), available on GitHub. Takes you from the news to a finished MP4.

Premium edition

In development. Adds publishing from the app to your own YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts.

YouTube, TikTok and Instagram

In the premium edition, Yaikus Studio uses the official APIs of these platforms. When you connect a YouTube account, Yaikus Studio uses YouTube API Services and only requests permission to upload videos to your channel. Yaikus Studio never posts anything you did not choose, and you can disconnect at any time.

Status

v0.1, early release. It works end to end, but expect rough edges. The Intel build is compiled but not yet tested on real hardware.
